1. Our approach
Sweat Savings is a local-first personal workout ledger. We run no account server, show no ads, and use no user tracking or third-party analytics SDKs.
2. Apple Health data
With your explicit permission, the app reads only workout type, start time and active duration. That data is used to create workout entries, work out your virtual savings and draw the charts. The app never writes to, modifies or deletes anything in Apple Health.
Health data is never used for advertising, marketing, data brokering, credit assessment or any purpose unrelated to health and fitness, and it is never shared with third parties.
3. What is stored on your device
Your name, photo, goals, pauses, workout history, de-duplication IDs and settings are stored locally on your device. The widget reads only the summary values it needs to display, through the system App Group.
4. Backups and sharing
The app exports a JSON backup or shares a locally rendered monthly card only when you choose to do so, through the standard iOS system panel. An exported backup may contain your profile and full workout history and is not encrypted, so pick where you store it and keep it safe.
5. Notifications and photos
Daily reminders are scheduled entirely on your device and are off by default. The app asks for permission to add images to your photo library only when you choose to save a share card.
6. Your choices
You can change permissions at any time in iOS Settings or the Health app, and you can erase all local data from Privacy & access inside the app. Erasing the app's data does not delete the original workouts in Apple Health.
7. Children's privacy
The app requires no account and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes data has been stored inappropriately on a device, it can be erased from within the app.
